have more than one desktop

have separate logins, keys and mice per desktops. this is a can do on linux, but most applications on xp require additional hardware. that shouldn't be necessary with usb connections and video cards. I don't know where to start, but am really interested in this concept of multiple users on one pc

Thank you, anonymous

What you describe would be an interesting feature. Currently that feature is out of our primary focus. We currently focus on enabeling multiple user collaborating on a single desktop. This way stimulating group interaction. You can read more about these different kind of interaction models here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CSCW

The only way you can do this is if you have a video card with two outputs and two monitors most modern video cards can do that already. however they are planing on enabling the separate mouses to work on separate windows so what you describing will be possible soon.
